A Tax Credit that is!
Academic field trips, Spanish Club, Yearbook club, Book club, Drama club, and Art club are programs that depend on fees from students and the extra-curricular activities that staff, families and community members can help pay for with Arizona Public School Tax Credits.
Arizona tax law (ARS 43-1089.01) allows taxpayers a credit for contributions made or fees paid to a public school for support of extracurricular activities. The credit is a dollar for dollar credit that is equal to the amount contributed or the amount of fees paid. However, the credit cannot exceed $200 for single taxpayers or heads of household. For married taxpayers who file a joint return, the credit cannot exceed $400. You do not need to have a student enrolled in school to contribute!
Tax Credit forms are available at any school or at the District Office located at 25555 West Durango - Buckeye, Arizona 85326. Donations must be postmarked by midnight December 31st of the current year to be eligible for the current year.
